All US Citizens from Puerto Rico or not will benefit from PR having an opportunity to prosper nationally or internationally. Sovereignty through statehood or independence with or without free association, are the only ways to attain that opportunity.
The USA currently supports Ukraine to prevent it from becoming a colony of Russia, however, the USA still maintains Puerto Rico as a colony, where the US citizens born and residing there have less benefits than US Citizens born abroad.
Puerto Rico needs power to negotiate and trade one to one with other states, nationally or internationally. Only through trade the economies of the world prosper, individually or nationally.
